The Catholic Identity focus for the month of December is Advent. Around the school, students are preparing by being mindful of Christ in their lives. Blanket and coat collections, food and art supplies, bananas and boiled eggs, Christmas cards and greetings are all part of numerous charitable works the students are actively supporting. Each classroom sets aside time to pray around their Advent wreath. Students in 3rd through 8th grades will also have the opportunity to participate in the sacrament of reconciliation.

The Gospel message is foundational to St. Margaret Mary Catholic School. It is the model for the four-fold purpose of Catholic education, encompassing doctrine, community, service, and worship. The daily effort to live out the Gospel mandate promotes the integration of religion into the overall curriculum. This fosters a loving, caring environment which facilitates learning and supports a deeper commitment to justice, peace, and human dignity.
