St. Margaret Mary Catholic School has a history of putting faith into action. Nearly all our lower grades have a partner relationship with upper class students. For instance, eighth grade model mass participation for their kindergarten buddies and fifth grade students are reading buddies to first graders.
In our local community, third grade students have an ongoing relationship with a nursing home. Sixth grade students spend time with Headstart preschoolers. In middle school, our seventh grade students offer a Living Stations of the Cross each year. The entire school community participates in several activities in support of our school friends in Haiti – collecting supplies, manning bake sales, creating and exchanging art works, etc. SMMCS students actively support the Coalition for the Homeless, collecting food items, packing lunches each month, and sending notecards of prayers.
