Dear Families,

As the school year begins to wind down, we often feel the rush of end-of-year activities. Today I was reminded that in the midst of all our doing, the gift of time spent with each other is so very precious. We can look to our Blessed Mother Mary as a reminder of the value of time well-spent in relationship to others when we pray the rosary. Fittingly, our school honors Mary this month with a decade of the rosary Monday mornings during flag salute. We hope you can join us.

We also invite you to celebrate a special mass with us on Friday, May 15th at 9:00 a.m. for the time-honored tradition of the May Procession. Our school will process into the church and our second graders will celebrate their second and third Holy Communion with us. An eighth grade girl and her escort (from the eighth grade boys) will crown Mary and lead us in praying the rosary.

Classrooms have dedicated a space for prayer, many with a statute of the Blessed Mary. We are mindful of all that we have learned and how we can share our talents with others.

Classes are still in full session and learning continues until the last day. Junior high students will also prepare to take final exams or complete final projects. Please help them all to stay healthy by guiding their sleeping and eating habits.

On behalf of our school staff, we extend warm greetings for a very happy Mother’s Day to all of our Mothers and Mothers to be. May God bless you in your vocation.

God bless you,
Mrs. Katie Walsh
