Principal’s Message

Principal’s Message

Dear Friends,

Welcome to 2022! January will be a month filled with meaningful and engaging learning in all grades. Additionally, as we begin the New Year, we look forward to many upcoming special events including Catholic Schools Week.  This year’s celebration of Catholic Schools Week begins Sunday, January 30th with the announcement of our Distinguished Graduate. The week will be filled with memorable events, including the annual Book Fair.

During Catholic Schools Week, St. Margaret Mary Catholic School will hold an Open House / Information Session to share the good news of our school. The Open House will take place on February 3rd at 9:00 a.m., and school tours will be provided for prospective new families. This event begins in the Parish Hall with a presentation with information about St. Margaret Mary.

As we welcome the New Year, we continue our focus on our faith by celebrating the Feast of the Epiphany with a school Mass.  What a bright sight to see first grade students processing with their scrolls, offering their gifts to Jesus!   Parents are welcome to join us for school Masses. We also continue our practice of praying for those in need. To make a prayer request, please email

St. Margaret Mary Catholic School continues to reach out to others in need. Later this month the school community will join our parish in a collection of cleaning supplies, as part of the Lazarus Ministry. Collected items will be donated to the many families who live in hotels on Lee Rd.  Additionally, we continue packing lunches for the homeless, collecting clothing for local homeless men, and providing gently used books for Killarney Elementary School students.

As we begin the New Year, we pray that God will continue to bless our school and parish community, and we pray for good health for all. May we continue to grow in faith and in holiness.

In Christ’s love,

Mrs. Katie Walsh
