The school year has begun! We are so very blessed to be together once again, as a school community. We warmly welcome all of our school families and all of our students, both those who are present in the building for face-to-face learning, as well as the students who are joining us virtually. Together we are one faith community.
As we move through the coming days and weeks, we are all encouraged to be cautious and safe in our actions in order to promote good health for all. We appreciate the many ways in which the school staff is promoting good hygiene, social distancing and the wearing of masks by all. As a school family, we demonstrate respect for one another by observing these important protocols.
Students are actively engaged in learning, and teachers are providing instruction for the students in the classroom, as well as those at home, through the use of technology. We thank the SMMCS parents for partnering with us in this effort. Thank you also to the parents for your cooperation in learning the many new procedures and protocols that have been established in order to promote good health and safety for all.
School Masses have begun, and while the church seating capacity is limited due to the need for social distancing, grade levels are attending in person, and all other classes are viewing the Mass via live-stream. Together, we lift our prayers to our loving and merciful God. We pray that we will continue to draw nearer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus throughout this school year.
May God bless our school and parish community!
God bless you,
Mrs. Katie Walsh
