WELCOME TO FRIENDZY/// God’s design for relationships is highest and best! Teaching friendship skills helps students manage their emotions, improve their ability to set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.

STARTING STRONG /// We can accomplish more together as a community than any of us could alone. Community is beneficial to our physical and mental health. It is key to flourishing individually and collectively.

GOAL: To learn to cooperate with others to accomplish a common goal by combining various skills, talents and imaginations to accomplish a task.  

CONTINUE THE CONVERSATION/// Partnership power means that we can come together and collaborate for a common goal. When students realize that everyone has an important part to play, they can grow in confidence in who God made them to be.  Consider discussing these questions together:

  • What does partnership power mean to you?
  • What is something specific you can do at home to embody partnership power?
  • How does it make you feel knowing that you bring qualities to this family/home that no one else can bring? What special skills and qualities do you feel that you have?

FRIENDZY IN ACTION /// Students will learn how powerful partnerships bring our individual skills, talents, and imaginations together to create something extraordinary. By teaching students self-awareness of their strengths as well as social awareness of others’ strengths, they will be able to learn how to depend on others as well as become confident in their own abilities. When students learn how to collaborate for a common goal, they learn how their work extends beyond what they could do on their own.

When kids learn friendship, they learn it for life!
