History

In 1954, with the assistance of the Sisters of Christian Charity, St. Margaret Mary Catholic School began with five lay teachers and three sisters teaching 252 students in kindergarten through 6th grade. A few years later, enrollment increased with the addition of junior high. In 1960, Archbishop Hurley dedicated a new ten classroom building. Later, the building was expanded to include the third floor.

Almost 70 years later, St. Margaret Mary Catholic School boasts a stable enrollment of 500 students, with current technology, and an experienced faculty.  We welcome innovation and hold a sincere interest in the individual child. The school operates under the guidance of the Diocese of Orlando with the support of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.

Along with a supportive administration and pastor, a dedicated school board, and involved parents, St. Margaret Mary Catholic School meets the demands of educating children for success.
