Dear Friends,

At St. Margaret Mary Catholic School, we are busily preparing for the new school year. We pray that the 2022-2023 school year will be a time of great growth in learning and in faith for the students of St. Margaret Mary Catholic School.

Finishing touches are taking place on the school campus. The maintenance staff is working hard to make the school look its very best for the new school year. They have been busy painting, polishing, washing, and repairing throughout the summer months. The most exciting facility update has been the installation of a beautiful new gym floor. Students and families will be so excited to see it! We anxiously await the delivery of new outdoor furniture for the playground area. Also, lovely new travertine tile is being installed in the church, just in time for the celebration of the 75th Anniversary of our parish.

Summer technology purchases include interactive Smart flat panels, additional iPads, and Microsoft Surface Tablets, as well as graphing calculators for grades for middle school students–all super exciting items! A wide array of instructional materials and textbooks have been purchased, including a new middle school Math series. Instructional planning is taking place in order to provide an enriched, rigorous learning experience for students.

For the coming year, there are several changes to the St. Margaret Mary Catholic School faculty. We are happy to welcome back the returning faculty members, as well as to welcome new teachers and staff members to St. Margaret Mary Catholic School. We are so blessed to have such a talented, dedicated team of educators who are dedicated to providing the students with an outstanding Catholic education.

St. Margaret Mary Catholic School Orientation Day for grades K-8 is Tuesday, August 9. Used uniforms will be sold, and there will be information and sign-up for many activities in the Parish Hall. The first day of school is August 10th for Kindergarten – 8th grade, and the first day of Pre-K is August 17. A complete listing of dates has been e-mailed to school families and is available on Family Portal.

As we begin this new school year, we dedicate all of our efforts to our Lord Jesus Christ, and we pray for His continued blessings on our school and parish community.  We pray for a safe and healthy school year. May the Holy Spirit strengthen us, and bestow His grace on us, as we seek to do His work during the coming school year.

In Christ’s love,
Mrs. Katie Walsh
