Dear Friends,
The month of November is a time when we remember and honor the saints, as well as all of the faithful departed. At St. Margaret Mary Catholic School, third grade students have researched information about the life of the saints, as well as creating a representation of the saint they researched, and they have shared important information with their classmates.
Students are working diligently in their studies, striving for academic excellence. Our youngest students focus on early reading and writing strategies and the development of number sense. Hands-on science and STREAM learning occurs throughout the day, including during time spent in the Media Center. Seventh grade students study and interact with life science topics, and eighth grade students are immersed in chemistry.
Turkey Trot day is a well-loved annual tradition at St. Margaret Mary Catholic School. Once again, students will enjoy a fun day of activities, including walking, dancing, playing on inflatables, and enjoying a picnic lunch—all while raising money for technology at St. Margaret Mary.
Across grade levels, students are studying, experiencing, and living the Catholic faith. The Veteran’s Day Mass is an annual liturgy that inspires the school community, and the school is actively involved in supporting the Thanksgiving / Christmas Store. As a community, we come together in service, and in prayer. As we draw near to Thanksgiving, we take time to thank God for our many blessings. May our loving and gracious God bless our school and parish community.
In Christ’s peace,
Mrs. Katie Walsh
