Dear Friends,
We continue our Lenten journey, in preparation for Holy Week, the Triduum, and the celebration of Jesus’ resurrection at Easter. Classes are focusing on Lent and the importance of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. Students in grades 3-8 have participated in Lenten Penance and Reconciliation services in preparation for Easter.
Students are actively engaged in learning in all subjects and grade levels, from Pre-K hands-on, fun, messy learning to Jr. High learning, including Biology and Chemistry, Algebra, Research, Civics, and American History. Eighth grade students are preparing and practicing for the Living Stations of the Cross that will be presented for the school community during Holy Week.
Second grade students presented Famous Person speeches and will soon present the Bible Reenactment play. Other grade levels are preparing for the upcoming Talent Show, as well as several concerts. It is a busy time for the St. Margaret Mary Catholic School community!
We pray that this Lent season will help each of us draw nearer to Jesus as we remember His paschal mystery. May God continue to bless our school and parish community during this season of Lent.
God bless you,
Mrs. Katie Walsh
